The Extra Mile Education Foundation was founded in 1990 to support select urban Catholic elementary schools in danger of closure. These schools, located in Pittsburgh’s most underserved areas, were educating at-risk students with remarkable results.

Though the school names and buildings have merged and changed, The Extra Mile mission remains the same: to ensure every family has the opportunity to choose an excellent values-based education for their child, regardless of income or religious affiliation.
