The Mission

Through financial support of the three neighborhood parochial schools, urban families have access to a quality, values-based pre-kindergarten through eighth grade education for their children.

The assistance that Extra Mile Education Foundation provides takes the form of school subsidies at three schools–St. Benedict the Moor in the Hill District, Sr. Thea Bowman Catholic Academy in Wilkinsburg and Northside Catholic Assumption Academy in Brighton Heights. In addition, Extra Mile also serves children attending other area Catholic schools through scholarship support.
